In this Christian, suspense romance, we are back with the Avery siblings and this time the story belongs to Kellyanne. The youngest and only girl who has resented her brothers overprotectiveness. According to her, they stifle , and the reason she now works as a social worker in a different town. Sheriff Zeke Tyler has had an on-again, off-again relationship with Kellyanne. A woman he has always loved but keeping him a secret from her family, he believes she’s ashamed of him. He’s come to see her to finish with the relationship so he can move on. But when she is left as guardian to a little boy, and someone wants to kill them, he becomes her bodyguard. In the midst of the danger, it’s evident that feelings are very much alive, but Kellyanne is keeping a secret from Zeke and is filled with insecurities. Can she open her heart to God and find a way to also open herself to Zeke? From the start, the plot is engaging and the characters perfect with their imperfections. I was entrusted a copy of this book. The opinions expressed are solely my own.

Excellent book. This is book 4 in The Cowboy Lawman series but can be read alone just fine. Lots of action starting at page 1 and it continues to the very end. A very fast page read. I didn't want to put the book down. A woman finds her friend murdered and tries to keep the woman's baby safe while the police try and find the killer. With her ex-love helping there is plenty of drama and action involved. A definite must read. I can't wait for the next book.

If you're looking for heart-stopping clean romantic suspense, Texas Baby Cover-Up is the book for you. Virginia Vaughan pulls the reader into the story to feel the tension and fear, as well as the love and tenderness, of her characters. Zeke and Kellyanne have a harrowing road to travel for that second-chance romance to succeed. I received a complimentary copy and have shared my opinion of this well-written book.
