About this ebook

The final stand-alone story in the HOLIDAYS IN HEART FALLS series by New York Times Bestselling Author Vivian Arend. While this book can be enjoyed on its own, series readers will delight to discover all sorts of Heart Falls easter eggs, past and present!

-------

This rancher wasn’t looking for love—but she’s been right there the entire time.

In their mid-forties when they first met, widow Sonora Fallen and vows-to-stay-single rancher Ashton Stewart both felt a spark but agreed being friends was more important than becoming lovers. For many years that decision held firm, and other than one time, their grumbly-in-public, friends-in-private arrangement has stuck.

Now sixteen years later, the ghosts of Christmas past, present, and future seem determined to change these friends to lovers to…something else? All of Heart Falls is watching, suspicions on the rise as Sonora and Ashton’s secret slips into view.

Can two people used to standing on their own find a way to admit they want more? Or will stubbornness and fear keep them from forever?

Finally, Ashton’s and Sonara’s story!!! I love that this authour doesn’t shy away from mature characters getting their HEA’s. Ashton and Sonara aren’t young when they meet, and they develop a friendship that works perfectly for them. Over the years, an attraction grows, and being who they are, they act on it. Feelings aren’t on the table for either of them, but you know what they say about well laid plans. Getting both of them on the same page, at the same time, takes some Christmas Carol-esque

I loved this book so much. Lovers 60+ years-old? Yes! Love doesn't end when you're 40 & Ashton & Sonora really burn up the sheets in this wonderful & touching story. After listening to A Rancher's Love, where Ashton was such a prominent secondary character, I couldn't wait to listen to this book. It was everything I could have wanted in a story for him & Sonora. Their bantering back & forth was so much fun. Ashton took a while to get his head out of his tush but once he did the ending was great.

I absolutely loved reading Ashton and Sonara's story. Probably because I prefer plain speaking people. I think I'd enjoy having a yarn with these two at Buns & Roses while having coffee and cake.
