This Earl is on Fire by Vivienne Lorret, is Book 2 of the "Season's Original" Series, Regency Romance, but can be read as a stand alone. Miss Adeline Pimm, a country Baron's innocent daughter, who comes to England for adventure and Liam Cavanaugh, Earl of Wolford, scandalous, leery of the marriage Mart, and the young debunantes who wish to snare him into marriage, are the main characters. Liam literally falls into Adeline's doorway, half beaten to death. When he awakens he is leery of Adeline, fearing she wishes to snear him into marriage. What an idot! She and her family saved his life. A quiet friendship develops between him and the Primm family, as well as a blossoming romance between himself and Adeline. Steady paced, well written romance. At times, though, it felt as if the reader has read a simpler story, rich-boy, bad - boy meets innocent-naive country girl. However, it progresses along into a dangerous adventure, where secrets are revealed, danger lurks, and betrayal is on the horizon. The characters are flawed, engaging and interestingly enough, to become captivating. The storyline in and of itself is a bit unique, interesting, and will hold the readers attention. Can a naive country miss, help a rich rogue change his rakish ways, learn to trust in his feelings, and find their HEA, without getting themselves both killed, in the process? Liam has some very dangerous secrets, ones that can get them killed. Healing, forgiveness, and understanding, throw in a bit of mystery, add a touch of suspense and lots of romance, and readers will find themselves charmed into reading "This Earl is on Fire". An enjoyable and satisfying read! Ms. Lorret has once again, written a tale that is both interesting and exciting, with some twists and turns the reader won't see coming. A great Regency Romance! I look forward to Ms. Lorret's next "Season's Original" scandalous adventure. Received for an honest review. Rating: 4 Heat rating: Mild Reviewed by: AprilR

Adeline's tender heart will not allow her to look away from a soul in pain. When she comes across a wounded man in her doorway, she doesn't think twice of the danger to herself. She cares for him, gets to know him and falls hard. Liam, has no idea who the woman with the sweet voice and gentle hands is. Nor does he know what happened to him and why. His one thought is that his soul is lighter than ever and his heart is falling fast for this serene woman. Unfortunately, just because you don't remember doesn't mean the danger has passed. Ms. Lorret, blends adventure, suspense and seduction into a story of love that has unforgettable written all over it.
