About the author

Volker Hesse wurde 1968 im ostwestfälischen Detmold geboren und wuchs in einem kleinen Dorf am Teutoburger Wald auf. Nach dem Abitur ging er zur Bundespolizei. Sein Beruf führte ihn kreuz und quer durch Deutschland. Seine Heimat hat Hesse inzwischen zusammen mit seiner Frau in einem inmitten von Weinreben gelegenen Dorf nahe der südbadischen Stadt Staufen gefunden.
