De lezer bezoekt met Aafjes de Heilige Grafkerk; hij laat de feestzaal te Kana op zich inwerken, en raakt ontroerd als hij het wonderblauwe meer van Tiberias ziet waar Jezus over het water liep. Aafjes volgde de boorden van de rustig vloeiende Jordaan in het water waarvan Jezus de doop ontving. Boven de altijd groene berg Thabor schijnt nu nog Petrus' uitroep te klinken: `Het is zo goed hier te zijn. Laat ons hier drie tenten bouwen.’
