HILARY MANTEL, geboren 1952 in Glossop, gestorben 2022 in Exeter, England, war nach dem Jurastudium in London als Sozialarbeiterin tätig. Für ihre Romane ›Wölfe‹ (2010) und ›Falken‹ (2013) wurde sie jeweils mit dem Booker-Preis, dem wichtigsten britischen Literaturpreis, ausgezeichnet. Bei DuMont erschien außerdem u. a. die Autobiografie ›Von Geist und Geistern‹ (2015) und zuletzt der dritte Band der Tudor-Trilogie ›Spiegel und Licht‹ (2020).
Christiane Trabant studierte Germanistik und Anglistik und lebt in Berlin. Sie hat u.a. Umberto Eco und P.G. Wodehouse ins Deutsche übertragen.
