Sets a thrilling pace Whit, criminology professor and private investigator with a little something more, and Anna, his teaching assistant, have just gotten back from the case in Texas when they here about a couple of attacks. As the story progresses the crime hits close to home, keeping things under control is not as easy as once thought, and finding the connection could prove vital to solving the case. W.L. Knightly’s Mind Drives Matter sets a thrilling pace and starts to sprinkle more unconventional truths for the reader to absorb. Reader discretion advised due to dark subject matter and/or possible triggers. I received a free copy of the book from the author. I had the opportunity to review or not.

Wow. When this book started, I had a picture in my mind of where I thought this story was going to go, but I wasn’t even close. The low-key paranormal aspects of the last book get even lower key in this one. Though the mystery is just as tense and suspenseful. Both Whit and Anna reveal even more complexities in their lives making it difficult for me to decide if I’m more afraid or excited to dig deeper into their family dramas. I’m left feeling a little frustrated over the slightly abrupt ending of where this book stops. I need to know more! I received a complimentary advanced copy of this book through Booksprout.

A thriller that I read in one sitting. Girls going to a college are getting drugged and raped. The college hires one of their professors, Whit Filmore to investigate. Whit was in law enforcement and a PI. He works with his assistant, Anna, who is a student in training. Anna gets attacked, but is able to escape before being drugged and taken. Whit works with the police, but the detective has issues, including alcohol. There is an exciting and thrilling ending.
