Desperate to Touch

It feels as if Hard to Love was foreplay and Desperate to Touch the heart-poundingly thrilling peak of W. Winters's new series, but that isn't to say that the third and final book will find this trilogy easing up, not if I'm to base it on this author's past work. With appetites whetted by the series starter, book two was decadence personified, giving readers tension and angst mingling with years of love and passion neither one of the main characters have ever truly forgotten even during their years of separation. A quick note: Desperate to Touch must be read AFTER Hard to Love. These books--alongside the upcoming last one, Tempted to Kiss--are connected and have to be read in order. My attention was fully engaged and my heart thrumming in anticipation while reading this book, and for good reason. There was nothing that could have distracted me the entire time I had my tablet in my hands because W. Winters ensured not a single thing could compare when it came to demanding my devotion to Seth and Laura's engaging tale. No spoilers; no tidbits. Just absolute satisfaction on my end with Desperate to Touch. Five-plus stars. ♥

OMG Willow Winters, OMG!!! Desperate to Touch was everything I expected from Willow Winters and so much more. Laura and Seth's story continues from Hard to Love. Seth and Laura shared a past that set their heart and soul on fire but also brought so much pain and regret. Regret for the decisions and choices they made and how those choices changed them both in the end. Now that they have reconnected, the innocent and carefree love that they once shared is long gone. In its place is longing desperation, and revenge. Seth wants Laura to submit, and feel the loss that he felt the day she walked away from him. He wants to make her his again, but on his terms. Laura knows that she can never stop loving Seth and wanting him, but she struggles to give him complete control and letting go of the guilt she owns for the part she played in it all. Seth's past haunts him and he knows that the truth is catching up to him. Especially when he starts to encounter messages from Marcus who is always one step ahead and always in the know. So, when he finally reaches his breaking point and he reveals a truth to Laura, what he feared the most comes true. He might just have lost her forever. However, danger is always lurking in the shadows and when Laura is once again threatened Seth is there to save her. Only this time Seth finds himself in the greatest danger of all.

"Desperate To Touch" is a rollercoaster storm of pent-up emotions aching to be released. A page-turner that lures you in and sparks eagerness to learn what happens next. A story that will keep you invested in the characters and have you thirsting for more at the blindsiding cliffhanger conclusion. Seth and Laura have a heart-wrenching past. Agonizing hurt still surrounds them, but their hunger for each other bursts into a firestorm of passion when they are together. Seth has kept a devastating secret from Laura. He has in mind to never let her go again and to keep her protected from the onslaught of imminent danger. Superb creative read with fantastic vivid scene descriptions, suspense, drama, spine-chilling danger, action, praise-worthy characters, sizzling romance, and unforeseen astonishing moments. The chemistry between Seth and Laura is rock solid.
