About this eBook

USA TODAY BESTSELLER • Sparks fly between a misunderstood New York socialite and a cynical divorce lawyer in this lively standalone rom-com from the author of Blurred Lines and Love Story.

Pampered heiress Georgianna Watkins has a party-girl image to maintain, but all the shopping and clubbing is starting to feel a little bit hollow—and a whole lot lonely. Though Georgie would never admit it, the highlights of her week are the mornings when she comes home at the same time as her uptight, workaholic neighbor is leaving to hit the gym and put in a long day at the office. Teasing him is the most fun Georgie’s had in years—and the fuel for all her naughtiest daydreams.

Celebrity divorce attorney Andrew Mulroney doesn’t have much time for women, especially spoiled tabloid princesses who spend more time on Page Six than at an actual job. Although Georgie’s drop-dead gorgeous, she’s also everything Andrew resents: the type of girl who inherited her penthouse instead of earning it. But after Andrew caps one of their predawn sparring sessions with a surprise kiss—a kiss that’s caught on camera—all of Manhattan is gossiping about whether they’re a real couple. And nobody’s more surprised than Andrew to find that the answer just might be yes.

It was an "okay" book, but I found it flat. There wasn't anything of solid substance to hold on to. I'm a fan of this author but I must say, I found this book to be boring, having no substance, bearly any solid back stories to any of the main characters other than the 5am meetings. I only finished it becauseI hate starting and stopping a book. It did have it's moments, but overall it left me feeling like "that's it? That's what I paid for? I finished the book knowing even less about any of the main characters than when I started", That lack of depth for both Georgianna and Andrew made it hard to have a connection to both characters on some personal level; because it feels like the author just breezed through the book without having any sort of character development (or anything of substance) for both of them.

***4 ‘Perfectly Ridiculous’ Stars*** After my tepid feelings towards Love Story I was a bit hesitant to dive into Walk of Shame, something I hate to admit but truth is truth. But my wonky Libra nature urged me to give it a go because it IS LL after all, and one off’s happen, so I did and I devoured this book. It was a fun, smexy rom com that had a good dose of angst that was tempered by heart and sweetness. Georgie was raised with a silver spoon in her mouth and to the world at large is a party girl celebutante, but that’s only the tip of the iceberg. I honestly loved Georgie. She was comfortable in her own skin and owned her lifestyle. She may be a party girl, but that isn’t all she is. She has a huge heart and sees people for who they are, not their status. She’s witty, kind and compassionate even when she’s attempting to be sneaky. Andrew is a high powered divorce attorney who likes his world to be a nicely regimented to the point where his whole world can go sideways should one little thing not fall in line. Oh Logan. I didn’t know what to think about him at first, but as things progress and we find out more about his past I did end up liking him more and more. He’s got a good heart, is smexy as hell, but suffers from ‘foot in mouth’ disease...a lot. Their opposites attract rollercoaster of a relationship was all kinds of fun and frustrating in equal measure, but I loved how they got under each others skins and have them tripping over themselves to figure out what was going on between them. I would have liked a little more of Andrew, and I know that’s vague, but there is so much to him that I feel we only got the tip of the iceberg (visualize that book vs movie meme with said iceberg). Did it change how I felt at the end? No, it didn’t affect my rating, but had we gotten more it would have definitely bumped it up. Regardless of that, I really enjoyed Andy and Georgie together. They’re bantering was witty and I loved them when they started to open up and relax with each other. The relationship bomb was a big one, but I liked how it all played out and how they got back together made me all kinds of twitterpated. The writing flowed well and the pacing of the story was good. I thought the movie references were well used throughout the book, especially since one of my favorite movies was also one of Georgie’s. The use of 1st person POV and 3rd person POV was well done. Overall this was a fun read filled with heart and a good dose of heat and it is a true standalone so you can dive on in without having read the previous books in the series. ~ Copy provided by the publisher via NetGalley ~

I am a huge LL fan and love enemies to lovers stories so I couldn't wait for this book to be released. Georgie is a socialite who parties all night but makes sure she's back in her building's lobby by 5 am to run into her stuffy neighbor, Andrew, just to get under his skin. Andrew is a divorce attorney who lives a super structured life but makes sure he's in his building's lobby by 5 am to run into his ridiculous neighbor, Georgianna, just to get under her skin. Georgie and Andrew are opposites in almost every way but their chemistry is off the charts and the banter they have is hilarious. A secret threatens to end their tenuous relationship before it even starts. The only thing that I didn't like about this book was that while it's dual POV, Georgie's POV is in first person and Andrew's is in third person. It didn't, in any way, take away from the story but it did throw me off when the POV changed. Once I started this book, I couldn't put it down. I loved the banter, Georgie's personality, and Andrew's commitment to his work and family. I never wanted their story end!

In 2011 Lauren and her husband moved from Seattle to New York City, where she decided to pursue a full-time writing career. Since then, she’s gone on to publish ten books, including those in the bestselling Sex, Love & Stiletto series, with more stories always in the works. Lauren currently lives in Chicago with her husband and their spoiled Pomeranian. When she’s not writing, you’ll find her at happy hour, running at a doggedly slow pace, or trying to straighten her naturally curly hair.
