About this ebook

The groundbreaking and widely praised novel about a school shooting, from the acclaimed author of Monster. Multiple narratives, a personal journal, and newspaper and police reports add perspective and pull readers into the story.

"Questions of guilt and innocence drive the plot and stay with the reader," said Hazel Rochman in a starred Booklist review. "Highly readable."

"A haunting story that uncovers the pain of several high school students," according to Teenreads.com. "It explores the tragedies of school violence and how the result of bullying can go to the most dramatic extreme. Myers has a gift for expressing the voices of his characters. Shooter is not a light read, but it will leave you reeling."

This was a well written and well thought out book by Walter Dean Myers. The book is very descriptive and included a large amount of vivid details that made me feel as if I were right there during the incident. A full 5 stars, this book was very enjoyable with a wonderful deeper meaning of what bullying can evolve in to. I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a good book. Other Walter Dean Myers books have also never let me down, and I would highly recommend him. I plan to read many more of Mr.Myers novels now, thanks to this one!

I thought this book was pretty good, but not the best I have read. I did like the set up about how it was wrote with the interviews. It related to kids which I thought was cool. Overall I thought this was a pretty good book.
