Friedrich Nietzsches Gedanken beeinflußten nicht nur die europäische Philosophie massiv. Nietzsche war ein "Freigeist", der dem Christentum und anderen "gottgegebenen" Religionen nur Verachtung entgegenbrachte. Seine Abrechnung mit dem Christentum ist in seinem Werk "Der Antichrist" verschriftlicht, das nicht umsonst den Untertitel "Fluch auf das Christentum" trägt. Die Figur des Antichristen hat eine lange Tradition. Nietzsche sieht sich selbst und seine Philosophie in dieser Tradition. Dies soll u. a. anhand vieler Stellen aus "seinem" Antichrist aufgezeigt werden.
