A clown arrives in a small outback town in the Darling Downs region of southeast Queensland. The fact that no one knows anything about this clownwho the clown is or where the clown came fromraises no concern in the community of Warwick, where parents struggling with the ravages of drought and other hardships are only too pleased to see their children have moments of joy, being entertained by new and unusual experiences. Only one man questions the clowns credentials. This is not the first novel that Boby Beavers has written. It is, however, the first one he has published. After an administration career in both public service and large and international companies, the time came to turn a hobby into a new career. This novel represents a complete break with the past, yet it still expresses a deep love for the place and experiences of his childhood.
