About the author

Sudha Goel is Associate Professor, Department of Civil Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, West Bengal. She received M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees from The John Hopkins University. She worked as an Instructor and Research Assistant at The John Hopkins University (1990–1997). She has published more than fifty papers in journals and conferences of national and international repute. Her areas of research include water quality and treatment, environmental impact and risk assessment, solid and hazardous waste management and environmental engineering.
