First impressions are everything and with Luke and Grace, Ms. Byrne left a lasting one. With equal parts frustration and sensation, this couple made hot and cold work. What I liked most about The Millionaire's Revenge is that the characters kept me on my toes and as a reader that is a great compliment because bored would have been a draw back. The fact that the author allowed me as a reader to come to my own conclusion in this chess game of love proved a plus as well. This is my second read by Wendy Byrne and I am liking what I've seen so far.

LOVED!!! This is an engaging and entertaining novel that has Luke, a real estate developer, seeking out the daughter of his adversary, Grace, in an attempt to figure out how he's losing deals to Cyrus (Grace's dad). He was prepared to be charming in an attempt to learn her secrets, but he wasn't prepared to fall for her. What follows is a thoroughly entertaining tale that had me turning pages just as quickly as possible. I've had this author on my must read authors' list and this book demonstrates why. If you enjoy romance with a bit more substance, you will love her books. While this is part of a series, this is a stand alone novel.

Luke McCall has decided to pursue Grace Wilson with only one thing driving him - Revenge. He's had it with someone undercutting every deal he has going. Especially the latest one and he is certain Grace's father is at the root of the problem. Too bad Grace has decided she's had it with men using her for her money or her father's approval. Test. Screw. Dump. That's her new mantra when it comes to men. Luke McCall however makes it difficult to stick to that plan. This was a very enjoyable story. I loved the back and forth between Luke and Grace as they each try to protect their heart while getting what they want. Definitely a book I recommend.
