Rita and Rhonda, sisters who are retired homicide detectives, settled in to run their bakery and get married. A relative arrives from Los Angeles and brings plenty of trouble with her, forcing all of them to go to Los Angeles and figure it all out. The characters just keep getting better and more involved. The storyline has the group mixing up with a well known detective in L.A., their lives are threatened and evil plans are unfolding. Love the couples, their chemistry and the entertaining situations they always seem to get into. Plenty of tension, fun and intrigue afoot, with a great ending. Billy brings a down on her luck family connection into town - about the time when Rita wants to take him to meet her parents Benita is a lot outspoken, more than a little crazy, and in mounds of trouble from her recent California connections Money laundering, murder attempts, and settling old scores make for a tangled web of friends, family and dramatic dangers I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

What a lovely duo Rhonda and Rita make, they are talented detectives and bakers, good-humored, and so protective of each other and their community! Bake my breath away has a little of (or a lot of ) everything: murder, crimes, romance, bad weather, and a great dog. The sisters want a quieter life but crime seems to loom after them and now, as they are retired, they can make their own rules when running after the bad guys. In this story, they also get to know a funny character related to Billy, his cousin, Benita, and because of her, they are set to go against some criminals and get involved in a real fun adventure. The story has a great plot, the sisters (and her loved ones) are at their best and it is pure entertainment! I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
