About this ebook

"A cozy witch mystery with the perfect combination of intrigue, danger and suspense." Havenholm is a small town with big dreams, good hearts and a corporate problem. The tiny hamlet has attracted the attention of developers seeking new blood and fresh real estate, something Havenholm has in abundance. As news of the incoming business leaks over the town, rumors swirl, anger stirs and a meeting is called at the Town hall. Cassandra Dean, single witch and owner of The Spicery, is no stranger to change. Few knew what to expect when she first opened shop, yet despite the complaints and questions, her business survived and is now a staple, nestled comfortably near the coffee shop and pharmacy. Progress comes to every area and Cassandra attends the meeting to discover what face this new progress will wear.  Yet what should have been an informative gathering soon descends into shouts, accusations…. And murder.

Cassandra owns the Spicery in a small town, loves mysteries and puzzles, and is a witch. A developer group comes to town and at the town meeting, she finds one of them dead in a car. The characters are adorable and quirky, fun and determined. The storyline is fast paced but detailed enough to keep your nose in the book until the end. Loved the joint effort of those involved and the support when things get dicey. The ending fits perfectly with a few surprises. Can not wait to read more of this group. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Murder at the Town Hall . . . Cassandra Dean lives in Havenholm, the owner of a spice shop. She is a witch but in a bumbling ineffective sort of way. When developers for Newmark come to town looking to buy up property, the citizens are rightfully worried. A Town Meeting is called and things don’t go well with people getting upset and angry and insulting words exchanged. Cassandra heads out to leave the meeting. But she notices a car parked oddly and walks over to it. Mr. Willows, one of the lawyers, was coming out of the town hall and shouted at her about approaching his car. By then, Cassandra had reached it and, in the front seat, she saw one of the speakers from Newmark, Jane Fontaine, who had been insulting the townspeople earlier, now slumped against the steering wheel -- dead! Can she find out who killed the woman and why?

This is the first book in the Nether Edge series. A quick read, so this is ideal to read whilst on the move. Not one of the best books I have read, but was ok. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
