About this eBook

Rumors and Gossip . . . The lifeblood of London

When Olivia Bevelstoke is told that her new neighbor may have killed his fiancée, she doesn't believe it for a second, but, still, how can she help spying on him, just to be sure? So she stakes out a spot near her bedroom window, cleverly concealed by curtains, watches, and waits . . . and discovers a most intriguing man, who is definitely up to something.

Sir Harry Valentine works for the boring branch of the War Office, translating documents vital to national security. He's not a spy, but he's had all the training, and when a gorgeous blonde begins to watch him from her window, he is instantly suspicious. But just when he decides that she's nothing more than an annoyingly nosy debutante, he discovers that she might be engaged to a foreign prince, who might be plotting against England. And when Harry is roped into spying on Olivia, he discovers that he might be falling for her himself . . .

This book was so refreshingly romantic. It's been so long since i've read (without skipping a few pages here and there), enjoyed, and liked; no loved a book this much. Gosh this is going on my favorites and reread list! Granted there isn't much action (fighting) and drama but that's what made it refreshing. The other books while just as engaging, is a bit predicable in my opinion with the plot, so this was absolutely an amazing read. I have never written a review this long before! >_< I want my own Sir Harry Valentine!!!!!!!!!!!

Love the character dynamics, Julie Quinn knows how to make relatable and engaging characters, my only complaint is I want more of them and feel it was a little rushed - could have been better longer, or even as a series based on this couple. Otherwise liked the book and finished it very quickly!

This is, so far, the most hilarious and witty (Julia Quinn) book I've read. I was laughing from start to end.
