About the author

Joyce Hesselberth is an author and illustrator of children's books. In addition to writing, Joyce teaches illustration at the Maryland Institute College of Art, and she is the cofounder of Spur Design. As a kid, Joyce loved drawing fancy dresses adorned with stars. Years later, she remembered those starry drawings, and the idea for When Molly Ate the Stars took shape. Joyce lives with her family in Maryland. If you look up at the night sky, you might see some of the same stars that she does.
