Sobre o autor

David Saunders was appointed first warden of the newly declared Skomer Island National Nature Reserve in 1960 where he remained in post with his wife and two children for seven years. Subsequently he was organiser of Operation Seafarer (the first national seabird census of 1969–1970) and later director of the then West Wales Wildlife Trust. He was author of the first Where to Watch Birds in Wales published in 1987, followed by two subsequent editions, and was awarded the MBE in 2003 for services to nature conservation in Wales and in 2014 a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Welsh Ornithological Society.

Jon Green works as a biology teacher in West Wales, and is the joint County Recorder for Pembrokeshire. For the last 25 years he has been the Secretary of the Welsh Birds Rarities Committee, which adjudicates on records of all scarce birds in Wales and an Editor/Sub-editor of the Welsh Bird Report. He was the author of Birds in Wales 1992–2000, co-author of Birding in Pembrokeshire and the previous edition of Where to Watch Birds in Wales.
