Who (A Stalker Series) by Megan Mitcham. The story revolves around billionaire Larkin Ashford and her company. I don’t normally read psychological thrillers but did enjoy this story. This story kept me on the edge of my seat. At times I thought I figured it out but then it took a different direction. I enjoyed Larkin’s character and enjoyed her interactions with Douglas (her driver), her girlfriends, and Beckett (now you will have to read to find out who Beckett is and if he is a good guy). FYI, contains mature content. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

When it comes to suspense and building tension, Ms Mitcham has no equal. Having said that I found the book difficult to get into initially, and at times throughout, I had to reread sections to understand the gist of what was being said. This may well be because I don't live in America and therefore am not au fait with local syntax and use of language, but I did find the story confusing at times. Larkin's romance with the man from the rooftop was interesting and tweaked my imagination. Her friends too were interesting. The outcome of the story was surprising and obviously leads into the next book in the series. Overall, a good read that kept my attention. I received a copy of this book as a gift and this is my honest and voluntary review.

I love a good draw you in and keep you guessing psychological thriller. Sadly, this isn't it. There is a mystery here, but it's buried beneath a mountain of business deals and family turmoil. I found the story to be convoluted and the characters not very likable. Larkin is a mess from the beginning and for someone who is supposed to be running a company, it seems that everyone and every thing around her is running her. Some scenes make little sense and feel disjointed, and when things get intimate between Larkin and her love interest, it felt stilted and forced. I've heard great things about this book, so maybe it's just a matter of this not being the book for me, maybe it's that I couldn't connect to any of the characters, or maybe a little of both. For whatever reason, this story clearly missed the mark for me.
