Wicked Knight

**I voluntarily read an early copy of this title in exchange for an honest review** Wicked Knight is the latest installment in Sawyer Bennett's Wicked Horse Vegas series and a great addition it is! Asher Knight is used to getting what he wants both in the boardroom and in the bedroom, or in this case at the Wicked Horse. He lost his wife several years ago and since that time, he's put his heart on lockdown and the only interaction he has in a romantic sense is at the Wicked Horse. He wants no emotional entanglements at all. Hannah Madigan is doing everything she can to make ends meet all to do her best to get her daughter back after her ex-husband basically railroaded her out of custody and ensured she would have to pay him child support. She's working three jobs and her goal is to hire another lawyer to try to get her daughter back. When Hannah is at work one day, there is an incident where she breaks an expensive article at Asher's home, which she is cleaning. Asher sees an opportunity to get this amazingly sexy woman into his bed, so he basically backs her into a corner by telling her she can "work off" the cost of the vase she broke by being available for him when he goes to the Wicked Horse. The chemistry between them is off the charts, so will this duo be able to really keep this to just sex or will more blossom? This book was so much more than what it seems when you read the blurb. There are layers to both Asher and Hannah that you uncover as you move through the story. These two people have been through a lot and the question becomes can you trust no only the other person, but can you trust yourself? I also loved Hope. She's an adorable little girl and she added so much to the story. Sawyer Bennett did a fantastic job with this one and I can't wait to see what is next for us in the Wicked Horse world!

I really enjoyed this sexy, and emotional story. Asher has closed himself off from emotional attachments ever since his wife passed away. When his new sexy employee catches his attention, he finds a way to convince her to accompany him to play at the Wicked Horse. Hannah works hard to make enough money to fight for her daughter. Her cheating ex-husband burned her with his connections and she will do whatever it takes to gain custody of her daughter. When Asher makes an offer she can't refuse, she begins to have hope of hiring an attorney. But neither could anticipate the fiery connection they would have. Hannah never experienced the passion she and Asher share. Asher never expected to feel so much again. Together, they begin to heal all their brokenness and it scares them both. I loved the evolution of their relationship and how they helped each other to open their hearts again. They had great chemistry and their passion was off the charts. I definitely recommend this emotional, heartfelt, hot and sexy story.

Another hot and sexy read by Sawyer Bennett! Even though this is book 5 in the series, it can definitely be enjoyed as a stand alone, since the interconnecting thread is the sex club itself, The Wicked Horse. I liked that even though Asher and Hannah had been dealt bad hands in life so far, they didn't let it destroy them. Sure, it influenced their decisions and made them put up walls around their hearts, but they kept surviving. This was a much more heartfelt story than I anticipated, and the Wicked Horse took a bit of a back seat this time around. There are still plenty of sexy times, but the club itself wasn't featured as prominently. Things start off extremely quick between Asher and Hannah, and for me that took away a lot of the anticipation/build up. I wanted to get a better feel for the characters before jumping right in. Hannah's ex and the legality of their custody arrangement felt really unrealistic, but I did love little Hope. She was a sweet addition to the story and she stole the show every time she was on the page. Though not my favorite of the series, Wicked Knight is still a fun and sexy read that Sawyer Bennett fans are sure to enjoy! 3.5-4 stars *I voluntarily read an advance reader copy of this book*
