Great book. It is an epic journey, like many of Smith's books. The second one in the series, the seventh scroll, is excellent too. But I started to get fed up with the Taita character in subsequent books.

Took at least 100 pages before I decided not to abandon , then could not put down , enjoyed immensely.

I love this book , the best creative novel ever. This guy is a genius because he takes you to another world.

About the author

Wilbur Smith was born in Central Africa in 1933.
