In 1976 I worked for a major pharmaceutical company and they requested ideas for a five-year plan. I suggested the cure for colds. Basically, they told me I was an idiot, and it couldn't be done because of the variety of things that cause colds. On the cover of their annual report in 1990 in the left bottom corner, the "Cure for Colds" was listed as one of the ten things they wanted to find a cure for in the 90's.
