Reb Santee was his name. He appeared to be just a rough-and-tumble cowboy, with an unruly shock of flaxen hair, and a puckered frown in his laughing blue eyes. Will Ermine is one of several pen names used by Harry Sinclair Drago, one of the grandfathers of the Western genre. He wrote three books a year, on average, when he wasn’t working as a Hollywood screenwriter or newspaper columnist. He is the recipient of the Buffalo Award for best western book of the year, the National Cowboy Hall of Fame Award, and the Western Heritage award.
