Witch Accused

This is a new series by a favourite author and I happily fell straight into it and remained deliciously caught up for all 300ish pages. The first thing I noticed was how the chapters were broken down to represent parts of the less than 24 hours allotted for the story arc. I really liked this! It kept things moving along well while giving plenty of time for each piece of the narrative. There was a lovely family vibe with the FMC, Alyssa's, cherished grandfather being the main face of her large clan. Alyssa and her friend/business partner Simon's close connection was a wonderfully solid, supportive relationship and so well written. This author writes family incredibly well. The magic of this world really appealed to me. I hope for more of the Mooney magic in future books as Ms Walsh is amazingly imaginative when it comes to her worlds! I tore through this book and am chomping at the bit for the next in the series!
