Yours to Keep

Darren and Vance were an interesting pairing. Both thought things were fine as they were, though both had fairly messed up circumstances. I loved Darren's behavior, his teasing and banter, and Vance fell under his spell. I thought that Vance was strong enough to try and figure out how to overcome his childhood. I enjoyed the support of all his brothers and family as well. This was a good book, and I recommend it. I received an ARC, and this is my unsolicited review.

⭐⭐⭐⭐ Yours to Keep is one of the most unique stories I've read in quite some time. This is my first book by this author and I would have happily given it five stars because I loved the story but I spent a great deal of the book feeling lost. I highly recommend reading the other books in the series before reading this one. This series is about the Aldridge brothers who are forced to live together in a quaint, small town called Baker's Creek in order to inherit their father's assets listed in his will. Each book focuses on the brothers finding their individual HEAs. This book focuses on Vance Aldridge and Darren Russell. It is a beautiful MM romance. Vance is ex-military and the last single brother. He lives with a lot of emotions that he refuses to feel including guilt and anger. Darren lives in San Francisco and works as a neurosurgeon. He lives a carefree lifestyle except for dealing with his extremely overbearing mother and sisters. When he is offered a job by Vance's brother, he jumps at the chance to get away from his family and move to Baker's Creek. He is immediately attracted upon meeting Van and doesn't have a problem outrageously flirting with him. He certainly had me laughing quite a bit. I loved their journey to their HEA. The side characters were my favorite part of this book. The Aldridge brothers were absolutely hilarious! Baker's Creek was a character of it's own and I could easily see myself living there. I really wish I had read the rest of the series but if I had, I would probably have been bawling while reading the sweet letters at the end. Overall, this was an incredible read and time very well spent. I certainly recommend it. I'm looking forward to other works by Mrs. Burgoa. I voluntarily reviewed this book.

Vance and Dare are fun together and you have to laugh at their belief that they aren't actually together. I liked reading this book and the secrets that are revealed towards the end of the story. I, personally, think that we spend so much time with them fighting their feelings and then BAM. I would like more time with them after they stop being blocked headed. I have really enjoyed this series and hope that we are back in Baker's Creek for the stories concerning Dr. Sanders' children. This book sets us up for Luna Harbor which we have heard of in other books, but have yet to visit. I like how various characters appear in the different series so that we still get to check in with them as secondary characters.
