About this ebook

'Interesting and provocative... It gives you a sense of how briefly we've been on this Earth' Barack Obama

What makes us brilliant? What makes us deadly? What makes us Sapiens?

One of the world's preeminent historians and thinkers, Yuval Noah Harari challenges everything we know about being human.

Earth is 4.5 billion years old. In just a fraction of that time, one species among countless others has conquered it: us.

In this bold and provocative book, Yuval Noah Harari explores who we are, how we got here and where we're going.

**ONE OF THE GUARDIAN'S 100 BEST BOOKS OF THE 21st CENTURY**

PRAISE FOR SAPIENS:

'Jaw-dropping from the first word to the last... It may be the best book I've ever read' Chris Evans

'Startling... It changes the way you look at the world' Simon Mayo

'I would recommend Sapiens to anyone who's interested in the history and future of our species' Bill Gates

It is a good book and good for people who like history, there is nothing wrong with this book and it's very awesome tbh. Also the thing is I have not performed good at my history exams so this gives some sheer knowledge NGL, the only reason why this gets a 3 star review is because I love maths, physics and chemistry and History is not really me favourite subject hehe

When you have already understood after the first example, then it comes five more. When he finally gets to the point, you have stopped listening. When he is trying to make every sentence extraordinary and fantastic. When things really far away from the subject is told, just because it is a story in itself. When cliffhangers are way over used. When the logic sometimes is really far-fetched. If you like these things, read Harari. Otherwise, stay away from this book.

The conciseness of the book is eclipsed by the factual errors, the inconsistencies and the careless speculation. To give a few examples:- 1. The agricultural revolution is described as "humanity's greatest fraud" but the evidence for hunter gatherer societies being happier than farming ones is flimsy at best. 2. The success of Europe over Asia is almost entirely ascribed to 'superior' social values without mentioning the political turmoil in Asia or any other factor which would erode the author's narrative.
