About this eBook

Riches to rags. ... When endings happen, ā€¦ new beginnings start. ... Chaos fills the middle!

With Mathewā€™s murder done and dusted, and her future now wide open, Doreen turns to sorting out her financial world, particularly as her antiques are sold. And helping others is moving up her list of things she wants to do. Especially after finding a young woman who wants to get out of the streetwalker world and to move back home.

Of course a decision like that doesnā€™t come without strings, and Doreen and her animals are soon embroiled in pimps and madams. A world she knows nothing about but is quickly learning. Mix that up with Nan getting kidnapped, only to bail her kidnapper out of jail, and Doreenā€™s world is chaos as usual.

Corporal Mack Moreau has a plan, but implementing that plan requires a special momentā€”the right moment. And trying to figure out when and what that moment looks like is a challenge. Especially as it involves Doreen ā€¦

The mystery just okay, there's not much sleuthing, everything kinda coincidentaly connected and suddenly solved, but I love the vibes. Love reading the antiques of Doreen's fur babies and Nan and Nan's friend. They made me laugh a lot. And p*op trail by mugs, oh my goodness I lol. And the romance of course always adorable between Mack and Doreen, thank goodness there will be novella after this, because I don't want this series to end, I adore these characters too much, I'm so invested.

I really enjoyed reading Zapped in the Zinnias . No sooner than the last case got solved Doreen and her animals are at it again . Corporal Mack Moreau finds Doreen involved in his new case when a man is zapped in the Zinnias at the community gardens . The new case is connected to a fellow officer's cold case . While Doreen investigates things get crazy and dangerous and poor Nan gets drugs into the craziness . During all the madness so how Doreen and Mack 's relationship moves forward . This story is witty and wonderful, very entertaining Wonderful characters . One of my favorite series . I highly recommend taking the time to read . Can't believe Doreen is already at Zapped in the Zinnias after less than a year in her more than interesting life! She has overcome so much with the help of her grandmother and her retirement home friends, her friend Mack and his brother, her absolutely charming, protective pets and her new found hobby of solving crimes. I hope there is a way to continue this series in some way as I will miss it terribly if it ends. Looking forward to "Merry Mistletoe Madness"!. I received a free copy of thi

About the author

Dale Mayer is aĀ USA TodayĀ bestselling author who writes for the young, the old and those in-between ā€“ no matter what the age. Some of her books are hot, some are sweet. Some will keep you up at night with a light on to keep the boogie man away and some youā€™ll want to cuddle close.

Sheā€™s long given up on trying to fit a specific genre. Instead she honors the stories that come to her ā€“ and some of them are crazy, break all the rules and cross multiple genres!

And thatā€™s okay too.

There is one guarantee with each book ā€“ it will be a great read ā€“ each and every time.
