About this ebook

They are the ultimate weapon. The ultimate secret. They are the Crown’s wolves.

Lycan Roman Lanzo and his brothers are bound—by magic, no less—to serve the Crown of England. All he knows is honor, violence, blood, magic, and death. Which is exactly when he finds her. A rare female Lycan, gorgeous, fierce, powerful, and with no memory of who or what she is. Now everything in Roman’s blood wants to help her, protect her, and—damn it all to hell—want her.

Nova woke knowing only that her leather Goth get-up was riding up in the wrong places, and that she had to find Roman. Since then, every moment is a new and unsettling insight into her gifts, her dangerous skills, who she is, and what she wants...including this daunting, muscled Lycan whose name is tattooed on her skin.

But the Crown knows all about Nova. What she is, what she can do, and just how brutally dangerous a female Lycan can become. Now they want her put down for good. And they have their perfect weapon of choice... Roman.

The The Crown’s Wolves series is best enjoyed in order.

This book left me with some conflicting emotions. Now, I'm not saying this was a bad book because it wasn't. I actually liked it a lot and look forward to reading more of this series. At the beginning, this book read very hard and just felt weighted to me. That could have been simply because this was a new to me author or from the fact that you kind of get dropped in the deep end right from the word go or even a mix of the two; either way the first few chapters were a struggle for me. This did get better and I'm very glad that I powered through. There is an excellent cast of characters here that are likable and I definitely want to read more about them in future books. There is an overarching storyline that I think will continue throughout the series and it is a complex and exceedingly intriguing one. Nova and Roman were interesting main characters and I liked that they each were a bit different. As a couple, they were just OK and that I sadly think was a result of the romance portion of this book taking a back seat to the much bigger aforementioned overarching story being told. I know this was only the first book of this series and a whole lot of groundwork had to be laid, introductions made and things set in motion, so I really hope this will change in the next book because I want my romance front and center. After all it is what I read for. All thoughts and opinions in this review are my own and freely posted.
