This book disappointed me. The book launches forward eleven or so years. She is now married to her old love, and the mother of two kids. The main character is wary of her new neighbor, who seems to be attracted to [main character's husband]. Instead of drawing readers' sympathy to the main character, who struggles to cope with her husband's suspicious activity around their neighbor, the author causes readers to grow increasingly annoyed at the main character. The author writes her into the role of a jealous, unreasonable, and whiny woman who refuses to trust her husband of eleven years. The end of the book is weak, with a plot twist that is boring. Spoiler Alert: The supposedly nice neighbor man turns out to be the criminal, but there is no work put into making him seem bad. Instead, his plight is briefly sketched by the main character's daughter, who is telling the story from her younger brother's perspective. Not a well written book.
