About the author
Prof. Dr. David Chiavacci ist Professor für sozialwissenschaftliche Japanologie und Direktor des Asien-Orient-Instituts an der Universität Zürich. Seine Arbeitsschwerpunkte sind politische Soziologie, Wirtschaftssoziologie und Wissenssoziologie des gegenwärtigen Japans. Dr. Iris Wieczorek ist Senior Research Fellow am GIGA Institut für Asien-Studien in Hamburg und Repräsentantin des GIGA in Japan, sie war von 2008 bis 2012 Direktorin des Japan-Büros der Deutschen Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) in Tokyo, und leitet seitdem in Tokyo die Beratungsfirma IRIS Science Management Inc.
