3.25/5 stars. Fairly solid debut contemporary featuring a Vietnamese Canadian family. The book deals with the heavy topic of gentrification and the immigrant experience, but it is still fairly light-hearted. Exploration of community is good, as well as self-discovery. Five POV characters--I appreciated seeing all of their points of view but it felt like it jumped around too much. Will definitely check out what this author writes in the future. Received copy to review, opinions are mine.
