I love the Enid Blyton Famous Five stories but more recent editions of the books have been so heavily politically corrected as to make the virtually unrecognisable and the ridiculous stick figure illustrations are just an absolute insult. A far better option is to scour second-hand bookshops for reprints prior to the 1970s before the self-appointed, self righteous liberal elite ruined them.
