About this ebook

"Just a fling," she said…

Tess Peyton wanted to do something fun and reckless and wholly out of character.  A steamy weekend with a Scotsman seems like a plan. When her Scotsman turns out to be a good Southern boy, that's a minor deviation. Then one night turns to two, two turns to more, and suddenly she knows she's in way over her head. This is why one should always stick to the plan.

"Bachelor for life," he said...

But that was before all of Mitch Campbell's friends, cousins, and even his little sister started pairing off like someone was building an ark. No wonder he fell, and fell hard, for his "no attachments, no last names" European fling. And just when he's ready to tell the woman of his dreams that he wants to change that arrangement, she disappears, leaving him with no means of tracking her down, and a big ol' hole in his heart.

And then Fate stepped in...

Because, guess what? The guy Tess ran out on in Edinburgh shows up at family dinner. He's her dad's new wife's brother's son. What does that make them? It makes them "on again," according to Mitch and the explosive chemistry between them. Tess feels it too, along with a side of awkward, continued uncertainty, and some kind of stomach virus that seems to bother her most in the mornings...

You Were Meant For Me is a phenomenal contemporary romance by Kait Nolan. Ms. Nolan has provided readers with a well-written book populated with a cast of characters you can't help but love. Tess if flying home to Denver but is making a stop in Wishful to give her father an update on the business. Mitch has been in a funk since returning from his trip to Europe. He met and fell in love with a woman and she disappeared before he could do anything about it. He's shocked to learn the woman he has been missing is the daughter of Wishful's newest resident, the man married to his aunt. Tess and Mitch's story is packed with drama, humor, spice, secrets and surprises. I loved this book from start to finish and look forward to reading my next book by Kait Nolan. You Were Meant For Me is book 10 of the Wishful Romance Series but can be read as a standalone. This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger.

Since the first Wishful book I read, I've been looking for Mitch;s story and finally it's here. Tess wants freedom from everything she thinks she has to live up to and wants to be liked for herself and not for her money or position. Mitch just wants Tess- so they have an "anonymous, no strings, no commitment" fling in Scotland. Boy- is it a surprise when they find their common connection later. I love the Wishful series and have read them all. I enjoy catching up with all of the town members in each new book. Almost everyone makes an appearance here if only briefly. I appreciate the strong women characters who still do silly things sometimes and all the folks, whether rich or not, who work hard. I particularly enjoy there efforts to revitalize a small Southern town. I love a good love story with some humor and this fits the bill. The only downside- I have to wait a while for my next visit to Wishful. I received an ARC copy of this book in exchange for an unbiased review of the work.

Nolan invites readers back to small town Wishful, MS in this delightful yet emotionally charged story of Tess and Mitch. A vacation fling turns into an intense romance when Tess runs from Mitch in Scotland. It turns awkward when she ends up in his hometown to find that her father is married to his aunt. Unable to fight their attraction, they try to keep it under wraps while working and living together. Things get out of hand when the unexpected happens. Mitch is all for the happily ever after, but Tess doesn't believe in fairy tales. Can he convince her to take a chance on him and his nosy, but lovable family. I highly recommend this book to fans of the contemporary romance genre. I had a really hard time putting this one down. I voluntarily read and reviewed a complementary copy of this book.
