Another excellent edition to this series, though one which remains tethered to many of the problems of it's predecessors, but also retains the qualities which I loved about them

This book is where I feel the series hits it's stride. Good mix of science, adventure and character development. Very good book

MARIE BRENNAN habitually pillages her background in anthropology, archaeology, and folklore for fictional purposes. She is the author of the Onyx Court series, the Doppelganger duology of Warrior and Witch, and the urban fantasy Lies and Prophecy, as well as more than forty short stories.
