Loving Mr. Darcy: Journeys Beyond Pemberley

I am sorry, but I am giving this book a two star.This is the first time Sharon Lathan has disappointed me, because I had such high expectations from her after I read two shall become one. Firstly, this book is for American audiences, with absolutely nothing of Jane Austen's times in it. The language is stilted and the grammar including sentence structure terrible. It almost looks as if this book was not edited at all and if it was, it was not done by a professional and experienced editor. Cringe making sentences like I will be with you, momentarily makes one wonder whether this book was ghostwritten by someone other than Sharon. Along with that, there are terrible mistakes, which one is astonished at, and also shows that the writer knows absolutely nothing about Regency times and society. Calling somebody senior and junior is an Americanism.You could never have a Jack Senior and a Jack Junior in the upper echelons of British society. In the same manner, a ranch in England??? do me a favor, please. I like Darcy and Elizabeth and that is the reason why I am suspending belief while reading their story, but these blatant mistakes by American writers trying to imitate Jane Austen is literally enough to make her shudder in her grave.
