About this ebook

New York Times bestselling author Jennifer Ryan begins a brand-new series with a western set romance between a former soldier and the mother of his child. Perfect for fans of Diana Palmer, Linda Lael Miller, and BJ Daniels.

They’re tough, tender, and sometimes tormented; they’re the Wildes of Wyoming, three brothers whose family ties are as strong as their wills.

Chase Wilde never expected to fall in love, especially with Shelby Payne. Years before, one passionate night had drawn these two lost souls together. Then Chase left on deployment with the Army, while Shelby raised their baby alone. Now he’s back, a wounded warrior determined to turn his life around. Shelby knows what it’s like to lose everything, including her own family. So she offers him a bargain: if he can prove himself to be the man he says he is, she will let him into their daughter’s life...and maybe even into hers.

Chase knows it will take a lot to prove to Shelby that there’s more between them than the single night they spent together. She’s everything he’s ever wanted, including the voice of reason he needs to reconcile his past and be the man he wants to be for them both. But just as their lives come together, she’s torn away from him by a dangerous person from her past, and saving her means saving himself . . . because he can’t live without her.

I have to confess that this is not an easy book to read and one I still have mixed feelings about. That said, it was well written and thought provoking. Chase Wilde and Shelby Payne had a one night stand that ended up with a pregnancy and a little girl that Chase absolutely loves. Thanks to Shelby, he has a relationship with the child. But Chase has demons . War , PTSD , addiction to painkillers and a family that has basically turned their backs to him, make his recovery that much more difficult. But through it all, Shelby is there to support him, and truth be told , love him. As danger seems to come into their lives, will they be able to overcome it all? Will they find they are stronger together? Will they be able to get their HEA? Will Chase reconcile with his family? Though I am still not sure how I feel about the book, it was very well written and for that I have given it a higher rating and also because it’s a reminder of how war affects the troops that are willing to risk their lives to keep us safe. I was entrusted a copy of this book by Netgalley. The opinions expressed are solely my own.

I totally loved Sophie and Chase’s story in Chase Wilde Comes Home by Jennifer Ryan, book one in her Wyoming Wilde series, a story about two broken souls, succeeding after find one another. After being written off by their families and town residents, Chase and Shelby overcame their past, discovered their dreams, and made them happen. Shelby understands Chase like no one else. She truly sees his big heart with how he treats her and his daughter, Eliza; doing what she can to make sure he has a chance of a happy, clean life after going through some of the most difficult years in his life. When danger arrives, threatening Shelby’s safety and their relationship, nothing will stop Chase from protecting his family; keeping his girls safe. Ms. Ryan wrote a wonderful, heartwarming story with some twists and turns that should definitely not to be missed. She provided a tale rich with sizzling chemistry, clever banter, and endearing characters giving Chase, Shelby and baby Eliza a chance for a loving future together. This was my first book by Ms. Ryan, but will definitely not be my last. I highly recommend Chase Wilde Comes Home to other readers. I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.

What a fantastic start to a new series. This is my first book by Jennifer Ryan, but it won't be my last. Chase Wilde and Shelby Payne both have difficult and tragic pasts to overcome. Chase is coming back home after time in rehab. He left the military wounded, and ended up in rehab. Shelby is the legacy of a horrifying and tragic story who feels like she is always the subject of town whispers and gossip. Her and Chase crossed paths on his last night home before his deployment and their little girl, Eliza, is the result of that night. Now that Chase is out of the military, out of rehab, he is coming back home and hoping to make things right with Shelby and his daughter. This was such a great book to lose yourself in for a few hours. Chase and Shelby were were both complex characters and the story has a lot of depth as they work through not only their relationship with each other, but their pasts, which also includes both of their "families". I'm hoping that the other books in the series will focus on Chase's siblings. Chase Wilde Comes Home deals with some heavy, dark and tragic topics but it is also a rich, heartfelt small town romance that makes for a satisfying reading experience!
