I love the Perfectly Proper Paranormal Museum series. Maddie is so likable throughout the series, and it's fun to see her in Sicily, up to her usual capers. Maddie is in Sicily with her mom for her sister, Melanie's, wedding. Maddie is kidnapped as she's visiting one of many castles, while on the phone with her friend and neighbor, Mason. She wakes up in a bunker, but she doesn't see her captors, and has no trouble escaping. I loved following along with Maddie's antics and was just as surprised as Maddie to see Mason show up after she went missing. Sweet, fun, and surprising. This is perfect for fans of Maddie and the surprises are well written. Now I want to go find me a good cannoli!. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

I've read several books written by Kirsten Weiss; she is becoming one of my favorite authors. I can’t wait to read more of her books. This is part of the Perfect Proper Paranormal Museum Mystery Series; it is a stand-alone short story. The story is about Maddie; she’s in Italy for her sister’s wedding when she gets kidnapped.

About the author

Kirsten Weiss writes laugh-out-loud, page-turning mysteries, and now a Tarot guidebook that’s a work of experimental fiction. Her heroes and heroines aren’t perfect, but they’re smart, they struggle, and they succeed. She writes in a house high on a hill in the Colorado woods and occasionally ventures out for wine and chocolate. Or for a visit to the local pie shop.

Kirsten is best known for her Wits’ End, Perfectly Proper Paranormal Museum, and Tea & Tarot cozy mystery books. So if you like funny, action-packed mysteries with complicated heroines, just turn the page…
