I really enjoyed this book. I watched the movies before I read the book, so in my case it took away from the authors attempt to not give the reader anymore info than what Bourne himself knew. There were many complex twists and turns in the plot, but I was able to follow most of them. I will have to re-read this though to get the plot in full. A few uses of language and sexual it is the only thing this that kept me from giving this a 5 star rating. You can be sure I will purchasing the next books soon!

Had the misfortune of watching the Matt Damon starred movies before reading this book [and subsequent follow-ups to be read later]. The book has the two main starring characters Jsaon Bourne [David Webb] and Marie St. Jacques, clandestine operation Treadstone, and locations in Europe and USA in common but that's about it. The over-all plot and characters are drastically different; which, although I enjoyed the movie, liked this better. Marie is a much stronger character than Jason.

I love these movies. It's been awhile since I've watched them, but unless I'm confused, the book is very different. I wasn't crazy about the romance aspect for much of it. Actually a portion of the story lost me for awhile, but I was really into it by the end. I'm sure where the story is going from here into book 2, but I'm looking forward to finding out.
