About this ebook

They survived the Alaskan winter after the Virus devastated the North, but summer in the land of the midnight sun is fraught with a brutality of its own—long, grueling days, mosquito-ridden evenings, and woods with lurking shadows more dangerous than grizzlies. With the discovery of impossible superhuman Abilities, and the looming threat of General Herodson in the lower forty-eight, the Yukon is no longer the refuge it once was.

After deciding to stay in Whitehorse, Elle and Jackson work tirelessly to build a self-sufficient home and protect their newfound family. But, it’s not long before they realize that even if the world as they once knew it is long gone, everyone’s turbulent pasts still linger, and surviving the Virus was only the beginning.

Sophie’s troublesome dreams begin to worsen, and her Ability makes it impossible for the people she cares about to get closer to her, especially Alex. As her friendship with Phil strengthens, and Alex pulls further and further away, she begins to question her reality, and above all else, her sanity.

When whispers of dissension and chaos among the General’s ranks reach Whitehorse, and other survivors begin to amass in Hartley Bay, Alex jumps at the chance to explore the world beyond the group’s safe haven, and leave his bitterness behind. But when alarming news from home reaches him, Alex must face his fears once and for all, or risk losing everything good he’s ever known.

Since the first book in this series I have loved these characters and have been waiting for the next book to come out for a while. Midnight Sun does not disappoint. As the newly formed family tries to make a life in this new, crazy world, you get to see the different relationships forming, everyone adapting to their new roles, secondary characters become clearer and more relevant and not to mentioned the awesome plot twists thrown at you. You do feel right in the middle of it all. Lindsey does an amazing job with all the different POVs and we also get some fascinating new characters added to the mix. Alex and Sophie have a big focus in this book, you are just as touched and frustrated as they are, as they learn to manage their powers and feelings. The world might have ended, but hormones are still raging.

Lindsey Pogue is a fiction author, whose adventures include the post-apocalyptic survival saga, Savage North Chronicles, the weather-ravaged Victorian Forgotten Lands, and the virus-riddled world of The Ending. Her other love stories include the small town, blue-collar, new adult trilogy, Saratoga Falls Love Stories.

Lindsey is a dyslexic, taco loving nature girl who enjoys sunsets, bonfires, and a nice cold gin lemonade on a warm summer night. She wrote her first story about birds in 3rd grade, completed her first new adult manuscript in high school, and has been writing tales of love and friendship, history and adventure ever since. When she’s not plotting her next epic storyline, or dreaming up new, brooding characters, she’s wrapped in blankets watching monster flicks with her own leading man. Lindsey and her husband live in Northern California with their rescue cat, Beast.
