________

Jackie was an unwanted child.

So unwanted that her mother regularly left Jackie at her uncle's house. Which was when the nightmare started.

For when his wife went out, her uncle's friends came round. He had a Special Room. In it, Jackie was tied up and molested, beaten, burnt by cigarettes and urinated on. Sometimes other children were brought along. Jackie got to know the Special Room intimately.

Jackie could never bring herself to tell her mother. She ended up in a home for disturbed children. She ran away, and a life of homelessness, drugs, prostitution and psychiatric wards followed.

Eventually, Jackie sought help. But could she turn her life around?

Or would her evil uncle and his Special Room haunt her forever?

Another gripping story from the Toni Maguire collection and it had me gripped... Before I really got into it I was not sure I could because it seemed as if Jackie was talking about herself as 2 people and it did not make much sense at 1st and I thought would grate on me and I would give up with it but it didn't take me long to realise why it had to be written that way to get her point across of what it was really like living through all that pain and torture and it was her way of coping... This poor lady has been through so much more than most humans could get through and survive... Such a gripping shocking can't put down book... All the best to dear Jackie in the future... Hope from here on out her and her children have a life full of health and happiness... Its 5 stars from me 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🤗👍

It is hard to think any child or children should have to go through what Peter Roche went through. I don't understand when Lord Snowden took Peters photograph did he or NSPCC not noticed how poorly dressed he more so someone should have stepped in to rescue them from all the Beatings and Brutality they were defensiveless children, the parents were cruel but then what kind of child hood did they have. I proud to see at what great father Peter has been. Peter you are amazing father and man your children are blessed to have you as their Father
