Oh the twists and turns....this has to be one of the best reads i have had in a long time...my emotions ran riot from happy sad scared fearful and relieved that the main character Mara finally got to live a happy life with a man who adored her. I would recommend reading this (and all Emma Hornsby books! they never fail to keep you hooked into the storyline! I am looking forward to the next book very much!

another great read I thouragly enjoyed it. but still too much biting the lip? please consider toning it down 😮
About the author
Emma Hornby lives on a tight-knit working-class estate in Bolton and has read sagas all her life. Before pursuing a career as a novelist, she had a variety of jobs, from care assistant for the elderly, to working in a Blackpool rock factory. She was inspired to write after researching her family history; like the characters in her books, many generations of her family eked out life amidst the squalor and poverty of Lancashire's slums.
