Engaging the Bachelor

Engaging the Bachelor by Cathryn Fox....The book was like watching the great movie Pretty Woman. I absolutely loved this book, Cathryn has put us in a movie setting, just press play to a wonderful Fairytale. The story is so sweet, hot scenes, loving and fun. The characters Carson and Gemma are so likeable and relatable and you end up being invested in the story. Girl from the wrong side of the tracks and the rich Prince Charming to the rescue. Cathryn is one of my favorite author of all times, so make sure you pick this one up or any book up by her. I was given a complimentary book for an honest review.

Smoking HOT romance by Cathryn Fox! This is the first book in the Pulse series. Dr. Carson Reynolds is known for working hard and playing hard. His reputation is well known and his mother is doing everything she can to get him to settle down with the right girl, but Carson has his own ideas on what is right for him and it is the one girl that got away ten years ago. At a charity event Gemma comes face to face with the one man that could break her heart. That night ten years ago was spectacular, but she thought she would never see Carson again. Making this deal with each other is just to get his parents off his back for a bit and protect her reputation, but it soon turns real when their feelings are involved. I was given an ARC from the author/publisher. All conclusions are mine and mine alone.

3- 3.5 stars This book took a little to get into. Carsen is a bit weak and dramatic at start and the first sex scene is very stilted. Normally at this point I would give up on the book, but Cathryn is one of my favorite authors so I kept going. The story really starts to improve as the engagement is announced. Carson and Gemma’s characters become more developed, stronger and their fake relationship starts to feel very real. You can't help but root for the two to get it together and make it officially real. Carson’s family and Gemma’s friend Andi are awesome supportive, no bs, loyal characters. They add an extra awe to the book and make it real. They bring depth to the sort. Audra is the poster girl for Villainess , you can't help but hate her and hope she breaks a heel. After getting past the first part of the story I was able to fall in love with this book and was glad I continued on reading.
