About this ebook

Another day, another step closer to Hell on Earth being unleashed.

With every piece that falls into place for the queen of the Underworld, Kymaris gains strength and power that will make it more difficult to defeat her when the time comes. It feels as if we’re in a desperate race to get just one step ahead of her, but my demise feels closer than it ever has before with still so much to do.

The first order of business is to unlock the angelic powers with which I was gifted at birth, and Carrick insists on getting help from my archnemesis to do so. Yes, I have to save the world, but my priority has now become rescuing my sister from the Underworld. While there are many questions still to be answered about my long-lost twin, I know I will not win this battle without her by my side.

In the midst of all the doom and gloom, Carrick has become my beacon of shining light. Our connection unimaginable, my heart recognizes his as the other half of its whole. Inexplicable and deeper than one could ever imagine, the love I hold for him is forged by destiny, however ill-fated it may turn out to be.

And those are the feelings I must hold close…to keep me going. Because a painful lesson is on the horizon—betrayal never comes from your enemies.

A Battle of Blood and Stone is book four of the Chronicles of the Stone Veil series and is best enjoyed if read in series order.

This book will is full of surprises. People whom you shouldn't trust you do. People you should trust you shouldn't. Betrayal is at every turn. You think you have the characters figured out. Who is the bad guy. Who will screw Finely over. While reading your yelling at her not to believe so and so and not to fall for what ever they say. Because as the reader you "know" what is going on. But you have no idea. No. We we're pawns like Carrick is to the Gods. We thought we knew who to hate and who to cheer for only for that to be turned upside down. As a reader Sawyer makes you feel the real emotions of loss, sadness, and betrayal of the characters of the book. She is a great author and A Battle is another must read.

A Battle of Blood and Stone propels us further along in the Chronicles of the Stone Veil journey. This is the fourth book in this series and you do need to read them in order to enjoy them to the fullest. Finley and Carrick continue to try to determine the best ways to combat what they know is coming. Kymaris is beginning to gain strength and Finley, Carrick and the rest of their crew know that getting the Blood Stone is one of the only ways they are going to have any chance of making sure that the prophecy doesn't come to fruition. Finley is forced to work with Deandra, one of her nemesis', to learn the true strength of the powers she possesses. Knowing this can only help her as she moves forward, but can she handle the princess?! As things heat up, the team has to divide and conquer, but things don't go as they had planned. With Finley completely caught off guard, she makes a split second decision that may buy them some time, but just how much? And when someone you least expect to betray you does, how do you process and handle that?! I'm very much looking forward to the conclusion of this incredible series. I can only imagine we are going to take quite the rollercoaster ride to get there!

4.5 Star review of A Battle of Blood & Stone (Chronicles of the Stone Veil #4) by Sawyer Bennett If you are a fan of fantasy or paranormal romances this series is for you. I was hesitant when I started reading this series by Sawyer Bennett but I needn’t have worried. The growth of both Finley and Carrick throughout these books has been amazing. This is the fourth book in the series and if you have not read the other three books I would suggest you stop and do so as this series needs to be read in order. The story continues to build as Finley learns more about her powers and how to control them. She needs to be at the top of her game if she has any chance of defeating Kymaris. Working with the Scooby gang (love the name), immortal friends and Carrick, FInley knows that the time is near when she will have to face the final battle as alliances will be tested and suspicions raised. Will she succeed or is she destined to fail? The twists and turns continue and I was surprised several times whilst reading A Battle of Blood & Stone and the ending will leave you with your mouth hanging open. I cannot wait to see what Ms. Bennett has in store in The Rise of Fortune and Fury.
