Death and Doves: A Christmas cozy murder mystery

This magician’s secrets are no longer safe. And everyone is paying for it.

Maddie Swallows, resident psychologist, can now add MC to her resume. Her small New Mexican town has splurged and hired Rinaldo the Magnificent for their annual holiday festival, and Maddie has been asked to lead the entertainment. In the past, the most their town could expect was toddler tap dancers who wandered around the stage while their parents took pictures.

Not this year.

This year they had a real magician. With an assistant. And doves.

Or, as real as a birthday party magician gets.

But when a rival magician is found dead under the stage, and Rinaldo the Magnificent pulls a disappearing act of his own, all eyes are on Maddie.

She’d rather not be involved in, yet another, murder investigation, but if history has taught her anything, it’s that she can’t leave well enough alone.

Not when people aren’t who they are presenting themselves to be, and her skills she’s honed as a psychologist can bring a murderer to justice.

If only the local sheriff would see things her way.
