I first read this book when I, like Aubrey, was around 11 or 12 years old. At the time, although my parents were both still alive, my relationship with them was extremely inconsistent and I also had to live with my grandparent, or in my case grandparents, far away from everything I knew as home. Aubreys sense of loss and abandonment, and of anger and sadness and fear, resonated with me. Yeah she will definitely make you cry.😭😭I couldn't stop reading, spent the whole day glued to it.

At a very young age, Suzanne LaFleur fell in love with stories. She loved stories so much that she decided that if she had to grow up, she would write new stories for kids to read. Love, Aubrey is her first book.
