Until about 4 months ago (it's now 22nd December 2016) I had never heard of Jack Reacher. I was, and still am, a Stephen King fan. Lee Child has now joined the King and Koontz club in my hierarchy of authors whose books hold me spell-bound. I have read the Reacher books in the order as listed. They are all so well written, with great "pictorial" prose that , like all the best stories, TAKE YOU THERE. The Visitor is right up there with the rest. Another hard-to-put-down tale with so many twists and branches that keep you reading purely because you are WITH Reacher and need to know "what happens next". Also, as I have already said, not having been anywhere in the U.S.A. except Florida, from Lee Child's descriptive writing, I feel that I know more of the U.S. than I actually do. My immediate move after finishing this review is to download Echo Burning. Like King's Dark Tower series, I will end up with all of the Reacher Books and I am certain I will love them all

Good book but very predictable, this is the third Jack Reacher book ive read and im finding them much the same every time, hes too good to be human! And he always seems to meet the most beautiful girls who are perfect in every way, by the final 100 pages i just wanted to be over! Going to give Jack a wee break for a while

Like all Reacher stories this was a character that we like. No nonsense man with a steady mind and a quick trigger. I can't help thinking though that this plot was a little weaker than normal. It struggled to be as believable as they generally are. Still it's recommended and I would read it again.
