This cozy mystery was very unique in my books. Cousins Quinn and recently-turned-nun Sister Daria are the main sleuths in the series and their background stories provide a pleasant depth to the narrative. The manner of how the murder occurred was quite unorthodox and extreme from what I’m accustomed to with cozies, but the character arcs outshone the unusual crime scene that had me invested to find out what had happened.

Born in California and raised in South Florida, Harper Kincaid has moved around like a nomad with a bounty on her head ever since. After earning her master's degree in Gender History and another in Clinical/Macro Social Work, Kincaid decided to not to use either and become a writer instead.
