In fact, he’d been around the world, and he had the baggage to prove it. Good thing I was always up for an adventure! This book had me laughing out loud all through out. This book is about the survival of domestic violence and shows that the physical scars may heal quickly, but the mental and emotional ones sometimes take a special person to help heal. A tough topic dealt with laughter and a sisterhood. DTF. So for a lots of belly laughter I give book a thumbs up! “Is it a bear? Jay! I’m scared. What was that? A wolf?” I said between breaths. We made it to a clearing on the top of the hill. “A squirrel! Didn’t you see it?”

It was a good plot but the characters were flawed and had broken past yet they never discussed their issues which was one of the reason they separated. There was a playfulness to the main characters but no real depth. I understand this is a comedy but I would have like to have seen the characters developed a little more.

On The Rox is the first book in Kat Addams new DTF series and I can not wait for more of this series. Jay and Rox are both trying to rebuild their lives after terrible pasts full of loss and heartache. When their paths cross and their attraction has them both turning into blabbering fools, they realize that they are in for an adventure together that will help them heal and have their hearts flying. This story will have you experiencing a range of emotions all while having you laughing until your sides hurt and you can not see for the tears in your eyes. I do not think I will be able to look at squirrels the same way again. Kat Addams is quickly becoming one of my main go-to authors for romantic comedies.
