I've read/listened to a few of Theodora Taylor's 50 Loving States books, and I listened to the first The Very Bad Fairgoods story. Off the top of my head, I've listened to a shifter romance (a time-traveling shifter at that), a ghostly paranormal romance, and a couple of Fairgood romances, and they all have one thing in common - they have twists I didn't see coming, twists that make my jaw drop in surprise because surely Taylor didn't go THERE, right? Wrong! She definitely goes there.

This is better than your typical romance story. Clementine Drove was perfectly cast for her role. Her timing, pitch, pace, and tone were all great. Her characterizations were spot on. I especially love the southern drawl she gave to the H. There were multiple character types with different voice styles. Clementine’s ability to flawlessly weave in and out of different styles is exemplary. This was a stellar performance. She really brought this story to life.

OK well this book is not for the faint of ♥ .. loved the story read it in one sitting .. but ... damn gyal some of the phrases used the languages thrown out their was enough for me to get angry .. but then if it wasn't written that way it wouldn't seem real by some of the characters .. but loved it and would recommend it to be read .. well written
